Emergency Notification

We wanted you to be aware that tomorrow, October 3, beginning at 2:18pm, there will be a nation-wide test of the Integrated Public Alert and Warning System (IPAWS).  The test, which involves receiving a message via participating wireless phone providers, is being performed by the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and the Federal Communications Commission (FCC).  This test will be followed by another at 2:20pm utilizing TV and radio.

Because so many individuals (including students, staff, and families) will have cell phones that receive the test message, we wanted to let you know ahead of time, and not be concerned that there was an emergency at school.

Please keep in mind that in the event of an actual emergency, we will get official information out to our community via our automated calling system, email, Facebook, and/or our District’s website.  As you know, we are committed to helping our students be safe, well, and continue learning.  This test is just one example of how we are working collectively to ensure that everyone is safe each day.
